forest long enough, the hero calls it a Daventree (Daventry is the homeland

In the town, find the poor beggar.
When you give him an alm, talk to him. He will tell you a story about a
man who invented a cider. He calls it Amblin Entertainment from Spielburg
(referring to Amblin's Entertainment from Steven Spielburg).

the earth begins to shake, don't worry! It's just Earl Sinclair from the
famous Dinosaurs series going either to work or back home.

The gargoyle's questions at
Erasmus' place contain a lot of cameos. The following things are mentioned:
"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (the "What is the meaning of life,
the universe and everything?" question, the answer "42" and the comment
"So you put some Deep Thought into the question, eh? (Deep Thought was
the computer that found the answer)) "The Wizard of Oz" ("I am Oz, the
great and terrible" answer, the gargoyle's reply "And who am I, Dorothy?"
plus also the answer "The Wizard of Oz" to the question "Who do you seek
here?" and the gargoyle's comment "Somehow, I don't think you're in Kansas
anymore"), "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" ("I seek the Holy Grail"
answer and the gargoyle's reply "Sorry, that Jones guy found it already"),
"Secret of Monkey Island" ("I want to be a pirate" answer), "King's Quest"
(answer "I am King Graham Cracker" and the gargoyle's comment "Right, and
I am princess Rubella"), The Princess Bride ("I am Inigo Montalban." "You
sold my car. Prepare to fly" (Originally a guy named Inigo Montoya, who's
trying to avenge his dead father. He says "You killed my father. Prepare
to die." a lot.)), Star Trek: TNG ("To boldly go where noone has gone before"

Also at Eramus, look at the
sarcophagus. You will see it's a Leyendecker sarcophagus(it has a ribbon
around it). It is also tied in Laura Bow (Laura Bow is a character from
"Colonel's Bequest", and "Dagger of Amon Ra", both from Sierra On-line)

The blackbird that appears in
all of the QFG games is in the brigand leader's office (although the hero
doesn't know what it's for yet).

On the screen left of Erasmus'
mountain, you can sometimes find Elmer Fudd hunting wabbit (the screen

Try cutting up the spirea plant
with your sword or attacking the white stag with a rock, dagger or flame
dart. Then go to the Dryad. Save first, because you'll get killed. :-)

Eat one of the mushrooms from
the mushroom ring. Only do it once, though since you get killed the second
time.

In the ending scene, all the
people who worked on the game can be seen. Also, Jerry Moore (right side
of the screen) is in a Star Trek uniform.

Look at the goblins popping
out from behind trees, bushes, etc. in the goblin area. They have names
like "Hollywood, the virtual goblin."

The name Magic Mountain is the
name of a series of amusement parks throughout the U.S.

Talk to the bear at the kobold's
cave (northeastern area of valley). The game will respond that bears can't
talk. Try it again. This time you get a different answer.

When you give the seed to the
Dryad, she will say "Now this will boldly grow where none has grown before",
a spoof on the famous "To boldly go where none have gone before" quote
from Star Trek.
